One of the key drivers of the art-tech fusion in Sydney is the rise of interactive design. With the advent of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, designers now have the ability to create dynamic, interactive websites and multimedia experiences that respond to user inputs in real time. Sydney’s top design agencies, like Rooland, are leading the way in this shift, combining beautiful graphic design with cutting-edge web development. This fusion results in visually engaging websites and apps that are not just aesthetically pleasing, but also highly functional and user-friendly. A great example of this is Rooland’s digital design services, where creative concepts meet interactive user experiences that engage audiences across all devices. Just like traditional art, digital art has the capability to activate spaces, however at an amplified level, owing to advances in technology which transcends the physical limitations.

Oksana Borodina, better known as Ksenia Salion in the digital art world, is a visual artist and experiential art director located in Brooklyn,  New York. She specializes in experiential design, art installations, visual art, and creating multi-sensory immersive experiences. More recently, the transformative potential of immersive art was further realised in 2003 with Olafur Eliasson's The Weather Project at the Tate Modern's Turbine Hall. By simulating an indoor microclimate complete with a mist-filled atmosphere and a radiant sun, Eliasson's installation transcended traditional art exhibition formats to become a communal space where the public engaged directly with the elements. This installation underscored the power of immersive art to create shared experiences, fostering a sense of unity and personal connection to the artwork.
